Promoting and Supporting Your Creative Ideas

Description

Overview

Creatives too often drown in a sea of ideas that they have yet to bring to life. Whether it’s because you lack the resources, time or you’re a perfectionist, many of the ideas you love the most, never see the light of day. This workshop will help you get past the first few hurdles in marketing your idea by using social media and other digital platforms as a way to learn and get feedback from your audience or followers.

You Will Learn

  • How to grow your audience from the ground up;
  • How to build online and offline networks that support your creative process;
  • Tools for measuring the success of your marketing campaign--and we don’t mean just counting Instagram likes!

About the Facilitator

Withwendy was founded on beginner-friendly YouTube sewing tutorials and now inspires people all over the internet to make their own clothing. Between Wendy’s university dorm room and her current Toronto studio, her audience has grown to over 800,000 YouTube subscribers and 70,000 followers on Instagram. Together they’ve made backpacks, prom dresses, and fall jackets through her videos that have been seen on Buzzfeed, Slice, Teen Vogue, and more.
