201: CNC Router Programming and Operation @1:30pm

This is an introductory overview of the CNC router. Members will be instructed in the safe setup, calibration and operation of the machine, then head to a computer where they be walked through preparing a safe and effective CAD program using Fusion 360. At the end of the session, members will return to the woodworking studio to run the program on the router.

Completion of the Woodworking 101 session is required for participation in this one. Closed-toed shoes, eye protection and hearing protection are mandatory. Participants must come prepared to tie back loose hair and remove any dangling jewellery.

It is suggested members have some prior experience using Fusion 360 or similar modeling software. Members must have created an Autodesk account prior to the session by going to https://accounts.autodesk.com/
