This workshop will serve as an introduction to the basic elements of sound recording, editing, and mixing. Whether you're interested in making beats, tracking live instruments, producing podcasts, or recording sound for picture, this workshop will introduce key concepts, technology and best practices.

You will learn about microphones, preamps, mixers, digital audio workstations, gain structure, signal processing and other aspects of the craft. 

Instructor:

Casey Johnson is the Manager of the Digital Media Lab at Artscape Daniels Launchpad. He has extensive experience in audio production and a passion for sharing knowledge with other creatives.
