Editing with Melodyne 5Ever wondered how our famous popstars get such luscious thick vocal sounds that sound perfect yet, still human? Most of those recordings were edited with Melodyne. This software/plugin is a pitch and time editing software with amazing abilities. Whereas Auto-tune is more widely known for the more unnatural sounding approach to vocal correction, Melodyne allows the editor to create natural-sounding edits to vocals (and other instruments!).
For producers, engineers, and artists alike, this class will give you the necessary tools to hit the ground running on how to use this software to the best of your advantages. For those that are veteran users of the software, you may learn a feature or two you didn't know was even available!

You Will Learn:

  • Pitching, tuning, and timing tools for editing vocals and other musical instruments
  • How to Use Melodyne for generating Midi files.
  • How to set up your own shortcuts for easy navigation of the program.
  • Proper techniques to ensure the most natural-sounding vocal editing.
