About the Speaker:

Jacky Habib is a journalist, media trainer, and creative entrepreneur. She has reported from a dozen African countries on humanitarian issues, social justice, and women’s rights. Her work
appears in publications including the CBC, National Post, and Global Citizen.
In addition, Jacky is the founder of New Lens Travel, a company that runs trips in Africa, led by local creatives, storytellers, and activists who are rewriting narratives of their communities.
She is committed to using media as a force for positive social change and is passionate about empowering people to tell their own stories.
