Deep Dive - Electronics Basics

*ATTENTION! For June and July only this workshop is free!*Overview:Everything you need to know to start building simple electronics projects from home. This class introduces fundamental concepts, common components, and important electronics equipment. Apply this new knowledge by designing circuits digitally with free, electronics prototyping software called Fritzing. Build an LED circuit on a digital breadboard and learn how to buy electronic components online so you can build the project at home. Please download the software before the class:https://www.electroschematics.com/fritzing-software-download/Learning Outcomes:Concepts and Terminology: Voltage, Resistance, Current, AC vs DCCommon Components: Resistors, Capacitors, Transistors, etcImportant Tools: Variable Power Supply, Soldering Iron, OscilloscopeActivity: Create a digital circuit diagram and prepare to build it independently at homeAbout the Instructor:Cookie Brunel is an art educator and artist working in sculpture and digital media. They studied Studio Arts at the Alberta University of the Arts and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Cookie uses synthesizers to make music in their bands and video art, and are currently developing conceptual sculpture comparing non-binary gender and electrical waveforms. cookiebrunel.comJoin Zoom MeetingThe zoom link and password will be sent in your ticket.  Please make sure to check your email. Photographs and/or videos will be taken at this event.
