A beginner guide to Adobe Photoshop. Part one

The workshop is about the fundamentals of Photoshop, where the focus will be on utilizing layers and learning about various selection tools. You will also learn how to set up the files you have for printing, or digital use and the difference between the two uses.

You Will Learn:

  • How to separate and cut a picture into individual parts using Layers and different selection tools

  • The difference between Greyscale and Black and White and how to decide which to use

  • How to set up files for printing, and how to set up files for digital applications

  • How to create and use a pattern in different scenarios

Following this class, join the Project Review: A beginner guide to Adobe Photoshop, where your instructor and peers will give you a review and feedback on your Photoshop project and talk about how it could be developed.

About the Speaker:

Justus Buenaflor is a Toronto-based digital illustrator and graphic designer. He earned his Bachelor of Design in Illustration with a specialty in motion graphic design at OCAD University. With a strong reliance on his designer’s eye, alongside the intricacies of an artist’s mind, Justus learned to marry the two through digital making.
