Basketball Planter Customization Workshop

Launchpad Member Wellness Presents:A workshop that helps to facilitate reflection and growth through a series of journaling and planting activities. “Homegrown”, is a sense of belonging and staying connected to our roots.It also reflects our own personal growth within our own bodies/selves.In a year filled with uncertainties, we have been forced to stay home and look inwards, hopefully reflecting and allowing ourselves to grow.During this workshop, you will be exploring the relationship between plants and your own personal growth.Supplies: The“Bloom” package will be provided ahead for contactless pickup (planter pot, mini succulent plant, rocks, soil, and Bloom journal)Limited Spots available!About Olivia and The Give and GrowA full-time health care worker, who works part-time as a Sport Program Lead at MLSE LaunchPad, a kids sports facility that empowers youth through sport. In the middle of the pandemic, Olivia started The Give and Grow, a womxn led initiative centered around one main purpose: growth. Whether it’s adding a handmade basketball planter to help your space flourish, or giving back to the community, the goal of The Give and Grow is to help empower the growth of everything and everyone around them. In collaboration with community partners, they host workshops for teenage girls and young womxn in the Toronto community, planting the seeds for the next generation. A portion of proceeds from each planter purchase goes towards youth programming in Toronto.Photographs and/or video will be taken at this event. By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications. If you do not wish to be photographed please inform an event organiser.
