Electronics for Beginners

Everything you need to know to start building electronics projects at home or in the Launchpad Electronics Studio. This class provides hands-on experience with fundamental electronics concepts, components, and equipment. Create your first circuit with a breadboard and then practice soldering to light up LEDs. Learning Outcomes:- Concepts and Terminology: Voltage, Resistance, Current, AC vs DC - Important Components: Resistors, Switches, LEDs - Common Tools: Variable Power Supply, Multimeter, Hand Tools - Practice: Soldering and prototyping circuits with a breadboard. - Increase your skill set and gain the confidence to work on DIY electronics projects independently*Please be aware that attending this workshop (201) does not give you open access to the Studio. To obtain unrestricted access to a studio you must complete the hosted 'Safety Training and Orientation session (101)' for that Studio.Members: $60 (including material cost)Non - members: $75 (including material cost)Facilitator: CookieCookie is an art educator and artist working in sculpture and new media. They use 3D printing to make organic sculptures that look like alien fossils and geology.
